My dragonewt reach level 15 and has a high endurance stat. So why didn't it evolve into a drangore is this a bug or am I missing a requirement.

I can’t pet mine and it’s always just above starving regardless of what I feed it or how much I feed it

To pet, you have to have the specific magnus in your party. Can't pet when they're just standing (non-party) in the barn. I'm not sure if this is intentional or if they forgot to implement petting for in-the-barn magnus.

I managed to evolve my Draconewt into Dracogre by having it in my party and threw a Kairoot (normal quality) at it. Seems we need a specific kind of food for specific evolution result. People on Discord server "Re:Legend Community" have put together a list of the needed food (along with other info). Might as well check it out.

I found that in the barn holding the food item and tossing it at the Magnus seems to produce hearts (or angry exclimation points) for the food you threw at em. So maybe you should do that. The trough doesn't seem to do anything other than to symbolize how many magnus you have or can have.
Edit: Toss the food in the trough. You have to aim right but you will see the food in there if done right :D
