So I've been working on a concept for my weapon, and I'm thinking about making a Prism weapon. So from the Update in the Kickstarter, the weapon class is less powerful, but releases spells much more rapidly than the staff.
So my working name for this weapon is Zenith, and I'm still working on a description and concept. But essentially, this crystal is the essence of the goddess of Fate/Destiny that manipulates space and time.
I can't decide if I want to go with a crystal that is clear at rest, but changes colors depending on the spells/combos used. So the weaker spells would be red, and the stronger spells would be purple. My other idea is to make the prism cosmic/galaxy colored/textured. It would be nice if the colors oscillated a little, to make it look like it was swirling or has some fluidity. Then the spells could be purple/black with little stars in them, or something.
I'm mostly brainstorming here, and I'm not really an artist, but I'll try to sketch up a concept at some point. I just wanted to see if any one likes the idea and has any input/suggestions for it.

I appreciate the input. This is exactly why I'm still brainstorming; I want to come up with something that's cool, but also doable. So I did consider that color changing spells might not work. Another idea I had, which also might not work, was making the base change colors based on the weapon's level or the Prism skill level of the wielder. Then the spells could just be white beams of light, or something. Or it just changes colors randomly when you equip it. XD
I do love the idea of a prism that changes color depending on the combo/spells, but I'm not sure if it's possible given that it may put stress on the engine.
