Will the game be single player like Monster Hunter and you can invite other people into your game to run around and do stuff together, or will it be like animal crossing and the four people develop Vokka village together? Can we trade items and Magni? (Magnuses or Magni?) I just wanted to voice my questions for us to wonder about in a multiplayer format.

I wish it to be like MH where you invite friend into your game, and they can help you with quest or farm
I believe they're still hashing out the details. The basic concept is that one player hosts a save file that everyone else is connecting to, however Popomaro mentioned a week or so back in the Discord that they're looking into ways that story progress could potentially be synched, so that if 4 players are playing together, they don't have to go back and re-play the story quests on their own files.
I believe it's supposed to be hosted like a cross between animal crossing and starbound. From the square enix collective multiplayer update:
Here’s a list of features planned for multiplayer:
• Farming
• Adventure
• Combat
• Taming
• Quest(Bounty Hunting)
• Exploration
• Bounty Hunting
• Fishing
• Logging
• Mining
• Trading
• Affection competing for Bachelor/Bachelorettes
• ???
And from the comments on the update:

Yes, if another player have married the candidate you will not be able to do so. Farm will be shared and house will be personalized. :)
"Drop in, drop out" multiplayer sounds ideal. Very glad to hear that it will compliment the game and wont be required. I have a couple of friends who backed with me, but having to put everything on hold to schedule a link-up might be a bit of a pain. These sorts of games I pour my heart into for hours at a time, and I wouldn't want to hit a stand-still in the game entirely due to incompatible schedules or people just not feeling it. Playing with friends is very important to me, but sometimes I want to keep on trucking through regardless.
I really hope that everyone can play on its own game, farm and grow up Magnus, and then you can link your devices and do the bosses and dungeons together.
I believe Magnus stance on multiplayer is that it wont be required
I'm also hoping that the game won't be hindered at all if I wanted to play solo at times. I'm honestly more of a solo gamer, so hopefully there's not too much that can ONLY happen with a friend or friends.
"Yup, you can drop in and out of the game so you do not have to start together"
Found this comment somewhere deep in a comment thread by a dev. I believe this mean similar to monster hunter.
(Magnus is both plural and singular, i asked Popo on the discord)
Hmm... Why would they not have the player shop open to friends or people they bring into their town? I know its not an MMO but it would be a neat concept for a friend or a person you met being able to buy some of the items you make in the game or mats. As far as I remember it states who made the weapons so it would be neat to see people carrying around weapons I have made! Its like a part of me is helping another player and integrated into the game :3!
I know Fantasy Life you were able to gift players a weapon you made and it had their name on it and it was really neat to fight creatures with it and always remember the person who made the weapon and have little memories and what not.
As far as the Amberlite Golem, I'm pretty sure that it'll be available for everyone, as only the rewards that specifically said "backers" are exclusive. Also, update #28 says it was unlocked for "everyone in Re:Legend" :)
Every time it has been brought up with Popo it seems like they are leaning towards the route Stardew valley went with a hosted save file. It's hard to say the direction they will end up going with once they get there. I also personally believe that the Animal Crossing method would likely be the best solution.
Items are going to be tradeable through a secure trading window, there will be no personal shops according to popo. (They said it wasn't an mmo but hey I can dream right :P)
I believe Magnus (it technically can be both a singular and a plural) will be tradeable to a degree but there hasn't been any talk on it. I know one of the things brought up in particular was the fate of the amberlight golem if it was backer exclusive or if all games were going to have it since we unlocked it. Someone else would need to clarify that in case I missed the answer from popo.
I believe it's a no on trading Magnus, but I don't know about the rest.
